Weekly Report

Week 9

 

My 9th week of Internship. An incident occur this week. It is about the media list that I had been working on for weeks, and my boss set a deadline for me to finish the task, but unfortunately, i did not manage to finish it by the dateline. My boss was very upset that i was unable to finish the task that i almost got terminated from the internship. But lastly my boss decided to give me one last chance to prove myself. He gave me 3 days to finish up the rest of the list. I worked so hard for this 3 days, after getting home from work, I continued doing until 3 - 4am in the morning. and the next day went to the office early in the morning and continue my job.  Soon, it reached the dateline, but I still can't manage to finish up the task. I told myself that already did my best, if i was still going to be terminated from the internship, at least i know i did my best. But then , when my boss called to go into his room, it ended up like those dramas that we watched on television. He actually congratulated me for putting so much effort and actually tried my best in finishing up the task. I felt so relieved at the moment. At the end of the day, I realised that when my boss pushed me so hard the other day, he just want me to really prove to him that I can do it and I will put effort into the things that I was asked to do. I also learned a lot from this incident. I know that it does not matter if things did not work out as we plan, as long as we did our best we can, nobody is going to blame us from failing.
